With Apple dropping the battery replacement price for iPhones to $29, third-party repair centers have also been forced to follow suit. iFixit was the first one to announce a price drop for its DIY Battery Kit and joining them today are Office Depot and OfficeMax. Both of them have reduced their battery replacement cost to $27.99 — a dollar lower than that of Apple.
