Spotify offline playback arrives on Garmin's fēnix 5 Plus GPS smartwatch

This sleek sports watch is gaining yet another great feature.



Garmin's fēnix 5 Plus smartwatch was already a great option for music lovers. Along with its ability to receive notifications directly from your smartphone, it's also capable of storing and playing 500 songs on its own. After connecting with a pair of Bluetooth headphones, such as the Apple AirPods, you can begin listening to music wirelessly without your phone around. This week though, it gets even better.

Spotify is now available to download on the Connect IQ store for fēnix 5 Plus series smartwatch owners. Unlike the Spotify app on iOS, you will need a Spotify Premium membership to use it. Once the app is downloaded, you'll be able to listen or download songs for offline playback, so you can even rock out while in the middle of nowhere. Your favorite playlists can be synced to your watch as well.
