Here's how the App Store works on Apple Watch in watchOS 6

The App Store will finally make its debut in watchOS 6, and while it's not as robust as the App Store on your iPhone or Mac, it still can help you download and find apps right on your Apple Watch!

Apple Watch used to automatically get any apps you downloaded on your iPhone and also supported Apple Watch automatically, and that use to be the only way to get apps on your Apple Watch. In watchOS 6 that's all changing. The App Store makes its first appearance on the Apple Watch since the product was first released and it allows you to download apps directly on your Apple Watch. It's not quite as robust as the App Store on the iPhone, but it does make it easier to find Apple Watch apps when you don't want to pull on your phone.




Apple occasionally offers updates to iOS, watchOS, tvOS, and macOS as  closed developer previews or public betas for iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Mac (sadly, no public beta for the Apple Watch). While the betas contain new features, they also contain pre-release...
