Pokémon's 2020 International Challenge takes place from February 27, at 4:00 p.m. PST through March 1, at 3:59 p.m. PST.
This challenge allows players to battle others around the world.
Top competitors earn points towards getting invited to the Pokémon World Championships.
Additionally, those who participate in as little as one battle could win a Ball Guy t-shirt for their Sword and Shield character to wear.
In order to participate, you must sign up before February 27, at 3:59 p.m. PST.
Proving that you're "the very best like no one ever was" is actually an option for competitive Pokémon players. Starting Thursday, February 27, at 4:00 p.m. PST and running through Monday, March 1, at 3:59 p.m. PST, Pokémon Sword and Shield players can participate in the 2020 International Challenge.
