Disney+ joins Apple TV+ by launching in Korea and Taiwan

Disney+ is now available in Korea and Taiwan.
Apple TV+ just went live in Korea this week.


The move follows launches in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Popular streaming service Disney Plus is now available in both Korea and Taiwan as of today, with launch coming just days after Apple TV+ also went live in Korea.

Disney+ will be available for KRW9,900 ($8.40) per month or KRW99,000 ($84) per year in Korea, while Taiwanese customers will pay TWD 270 ($9.71) a month and TWD 2,790 ($100.4) per year. As a Variety report notes, today's go-live follows launches in Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand earlier this year. Disney+ is also set to become available in Hong Kong early next week, too.

Content specific to the region will be available, the report also notes.
