WWDC Needed Only 8 Days To Sell Out

Apparently the WWDC event held by Apple was the hot ticket of the town over the last week, as the event needed only a mere eight days to sell out, according to AppleInsider. The Worldwide Developer's Conference is being held in San Francisco's Moscone West center, and can only hold about 5,000 people.  The ticket prices for this year also jumped from $1295 to $1599 and the dates of the event were also announced approximately a month later than last year, even though the WWDC was being scheduled for the exact same second week of June.As part of the marketing graphics for WWDC 2010, all signs are pointing toward scheduled sessions focusing on iPhone OS 4, which will likely mean the delay of any sort of advanced preview of Mac OS X 10.7 that you may have been hoping for. It's expected that this year's annual Apple Design Awards will place their focus on iPhone and iPad apps, with no category for Mac entries.  The IT focus of the event has also been discontinued to focus on software development.Of course, other events planned in addition to the release of iPhone OS 4, include the expected next version of the iPhone, which are expected to include new iChat features that would be supported by a front facing camera.Image courtesy of hardwareinsight.com
