Adobe has released a final beta of its Camera Raw 6.1 Photoshop  plug-in that adds new lens profiles to CS5. The plug-in allows Photoshop to import, process, and export RAW photos that are popular among professional photographers that use DSLR cameras.Camera Raw 6.1 allows photographers to adjust photo settings like white balance, exposure and sharpness, and fix distortion, vignetting and  contrast. There are also newly supported camera models, including:- Canon EOS 550D (Digital Rebel T2i/ EOS Kiss X4 Digital)  - Kodak Z981  - Leaf Aptus-II 8  - Leaf Aptus-II 10R  - Mamiya DM40   - Olympus E-PL1  - Olympus E-600  - Panasonic G2  - Panasonic G10  - Sony A450According to the Adobe download page, the update also, "includes new lens correction functionality that can apply profile-based  corrections to accommodate geometric distortions, chromatic aberration  and lens vignette effects."In addition, the update addressed a bug in the previous plug-in version that would cause Photoshop CS5 on the Mac to crash when opening certain Raw files. You can read all the details about this update, as well as download it, at the Adobe Labs website.via MacNN
