Video: New Vietnam Leak Reveals 13-inch MacBook Refresh

(Image & video courtesy of AppleInsider)For whatever reason, Vietnam is the new hotbed of Apple product leaks -- the latest being a refreshed 13-inch MacBook with a 2.4GHz processor and Nvidia 320M mobile graphics, complete with an unboxing video of the unannounced upgrade.AppleInsider is reporting that Apple could be refreshing the 13-inch MacBook as early as this week, according to the website Tinhte out of Vietnam, who also got their hands on a prototype of the next-generation iPhone last week. Identified as MacBook 7,1 in the System Profiler, the new MacBook refresh uses a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, which is a bump up from the current 2.26GHz model. The as-yet unannounced MacBook refresh also gets the current MacBook Pro’s new Nvidia GeForce 320M graphics with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM, another bump up from the existing GeForce 9400M on the entry-level white MacBook (identified as MacBook 6,1). Also on deck for the new model is the improved MagSafe connector introduced with the latest MacBook Pro models. The other specs remain the same, which include the 1280x800 widescreen display, 250GB 54000 RPM hard drive and 2GB of 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM which have all been carried over from the previous MacBook upgrade launched in October, 2009. That $999 model also featured a polycarbonate unibody design, LED-backlit display, multitouch trackpad and built-in battery promising seven hours of use.Given Apple’s propensity for Tuesday releases, this new MacBook refresh could come as early as tomorrow, so if you’re in the market for one of these puppies, put that credit card back in your wallet for now.Last week’s leak also features a full unboxing video on YouTube, featured below.
