The problem is, when i turn on the computer, press F8 and choose to boot from the DVD-RW drive it simply opens windows as usual.

My hardware is almost identical to that used in the lifehacker guide. I've installed windows 7 on half of the hardrive, leaving the other half unallocated (going to format on install).

I've tweaked the bios so all good there.

I don't know if this is relevant but I burnt the contents of the ISO file onto the dvd, rather than the ISO file itself (thats right isnt it?)?

Any help would really be appreciated.
Thanks

Wrong !!!!

You have to burn the ISO ( not the content , otherwise will not be bootable .... ) here how to burn :

Also the partition for OSX must be formated as FAT , then during install format Journaled .

After OSX install finish , a bootloader will be necessary (Chameleon, boothink, etc)

here how to install Chameleon : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3k7gUOOwDe8
