Apple May Announce ‘AirPlay Direct’ at ‘iPhone 5′ Event; Will Allow Wireless Streaming Without Wi-Fi
The Telegraph claims that Apple is planning to introduce the next generation AirPlay video and audio streaming technology in September.
Apple’s AirPlay wireless protocol allows users to stream media content using Wi-Fi technology to AirPlay compatible devices like Apple TV from an iOS device or computer.
