Apple Becomes No. 2 Mobile Phone Manufacturer In The U.S. For First Time, Only Behind Samsung
According to ComScore’s latest numbers for the three month period ending October ’12, Apple overtook LG to become the no. 2 mobile phone manufacturer in the U.S., with an estimated 17.8 percent share of all smartphones and feature phones.
Samsung leads the charts with its expansive lineup of smartphones and feature phones, accounting for 26.3 percent of all mobile phones. Apple comes in second, and LG follows in a close third, with its market share trailing that of Apple by just 0.2 percent.
