App Annie: Google Play downloads pass App Store by 10% in Q2
In a new App Annie report published today, the app research firm revealed that Google Play downloads have now surpassed that of the iTunes App Store. Specifically, Play Store app downloads surpassed iTunes app downloads by about 10% in the Q2 2013. According to the report, this bump in activity can be attributed to increased saturation in emerging markets such as Russia, Brazil, and India.
