iPad Air costs $274 to build, 13 percent cheaper than iPad 3
Whenever Apple launches a new iOS device, it is always interesting to find out what’s the bill of materials cost of Apple’s new device. The folks at research firm IHS have torn down the iPad Air to conduct an analysis, and have concluded that it costs Apple between $274 and $361 to build the device, depending on the model.
