Apple expands collaboration, adds folders and printing to iWork for iCloud

On Thursday Apple added some new features to its iWork for iCloud beta Web apps, focusing on collaboration, printing, and organizing.

iWork for iCloud’s collaboration features—a big missing ingredient—were first shown at Apple’s October 22 event. Thursday’s update improves the tools by adding a collaborator list to show who’s currently in a document; a collaborator cursor that displays cursors and selections for everyone in a document; the ability to jump to a collaborator’s cursor by clicking the person’s name in the collaborator list; and collaboration animation that displays images and shapes animate as others move them around.

Also new is the ability to print documents, spreadsheets, and presentations directly from the Tools menu.

Finally, the update now lets you organize your documents in folders.
