What iOS 4.0.1 means for your iPhone's signal strength
         

Apple released a promised iOS software update on Thursday that makes the iPhone 4 (and 3GS and 3G) report their actual signal strength more accurately. Our preliminary tests found that the update fixes some problems, but not others.
