New MacBook Pros Selling Like Hot Cakes

You might have trouble finding Apple's latest and greatest MacBook Pro, as demand seems to be high, according to AppleInsider.  As reported earlier, the company has already launched a software update for the 15 and 17 inch units.Maynard Um, an analyst with UBS Investment research said checks with various Apple stores showed that Apple has sold out of the newest 13 inch model, which was introduced only just yesterday."Apple should benefit from the refresh," Um said of the upgrades, "as it positions for share gains heading into the education spending & back to school season, & we see (continued) Mac momentum as a key driver of upside to (estimates)."Um also found that some of the stores are also out of stock of the iPad, which would give way to the announcement Apple made today, indicating that the iPad would not be available internationally until at least late May.  Um, thought that this would prove his estimate of 1.2 million iPads sold in the June quarter would probably hold true, depending on how quickly manufacturers produce."Longer term, we maintain our view that Apple is working on a foundation for a service to provide seamless access/mobility of content across its products," he stated.  "We envision a service that allows access to media-focused content of iTunes, user generated content of MobileMe & social networking integration from any Apple product.  We believe this will be the service that will be the draw (halo) that drives additional sales."
