These photos don't count against your iCloud storage allotment and can be accessed on any device you own that's linked to the same iCloud account.

How to access Photo Stream on iPhone and iPad

Launch the Photos app on your iPhone or iPad.

Tap on the Albums tab in the bottom navigation.

Tap on My Photo Stream.

If you are running iOS 8 and have iCloud Photo Library enabled, you won't see an album titled Photo Stream, as shown in the images above. Instead, you'll see an All Photos section which displays the photos you have stored in iCloud Photo Library. This service supersedes the Photo Stream album, and includes images taken on the device you're currently using as well as any you've uploaded from your computer and from other iOS devices. Note: Even if you have iCloud Photo Library enabled, your last 1000/30 days' worth of images will still display on Macs and PCs in Photo Stream albums.

iCloud Photo Library counts against your iCloud storage and will store as many photos as your storage plan can hold. Photo Stream on the other hand does not count against your storage but only holds 1000 images or pictures from the last 30 days, whichever is greater. If you only have Photo Stream enabled, this means that if you took an image on your iPhone 30 days ago, it will soon be unavailable to you on your iPad unless you've directly saved it there. After that time period, it's again only available on its original device. You can hit the link below for even more information on the differences between the two.

That being said, what are you using, folks? Did you opt for iCloud Photo Library on your iOS devices, or are you still relying on Photo Stream?

iCloud Photo Library and Photo Stream: What's the difference?
