iphone next sim unlock-safari not working

I am trying to unlock an iphone that was imported from the states. It has the 1.1.2 software and I have bought a next sim 2, to unlock it with. So far I have followed the spider foot instructions and downgraded the software, and used the jail break but when I try and use safari to it comes up with an error message to the affect that safari cant find the network. The phone is connected to my WIFI network. The only thing I can think of is that my WIFI runs of my PC and the safari doesnt like my pc internet setting? Can anybody advise me as to why this step isnt working and how I can get Safari to work?
