Google's All Access music service coming to iOS "a couple weeks from now"
   




   

It’s a good thing I’m hungry, because it’s time for me to eat my words.


In my hands-on with Google’s new All Access subscription music service, I bemoaned the lack of support for Apple customers and didn’t think we’d see it in the foreseeable future: “And given that Google doesn’t even offer an official Play Music app for iOS devices, I don’t expect to see All Access on the iPhone or iPad anytime soon.”


Turns out I was wrong. On Thursday at the All Things D conference, Google’s Senior Vice President of Chrome and Apps, Sundar Pichai, told Walt Mossberg that Google is hard at work on an iOS version and expects to bring it to the App Store shortly:



We brought Google Now to iOS. A couple weeks from now we will launch Google Play Music All Access for iOS, the teams are working like crazy to do it.
