Post by: bozio on August 06, 2010, 07:32:32 pm
Successful install with the following HW:

P5B-VM
Core2Duo E4300
DDR2 6400 2GB
Aopen GeFore 6600 GT 128MB
Realtek RTL8111b 10/100/1000M LAN
SoundMax ADI1988 audio
PS/2 Mouse & Keyboard

Here's the options I used:

AsereBLN
Sleep Enabler
Intel SATA/IDE
Apple PS/2
Realtek Wired Ethernet

--------------------

and install NVinject.kext.

I used Software Update to go to 10.6.4.

reboot >> KernelPanic (sleep enabler)
reboot  >>boot option 'pmVersion=20'

and add 'pmVersion=20' Place between <string> and </string>, found underneath <key>Kernel Flags</key>  in apple.Boot.plist

Work Fine.

One of the best releases of OSx86
thank you uphuck.

Title: Re: iATKOS S3 v2 Successful Install ASUS P5-SE but mouse problem
Post by: p5buser1 on September 07, 2010, 12:12:21 pm
I also successfully installed on a p5B-SE.
Everything worked except I had to plug in a USB mouse after the install was done even so my PS/2 worked during the install, but refused to work after the install under OsX 10.6.x.
I tried both the apple PS/2 and VooDoo PS/2.
Any idea on how to get the PS/2 mouse recognized?

All default install except:
-AHCI SATA
-Intel Sata/IDE
-Sound Voodo HDA
-nVidea (EFI String + NV Enabler)
-network ATTANSIC L1
-PS/2 voodoo

I installed Apple PS/2 only.
Work fine.

PS/2 voodoo was not working for me ( P5B-VM ).
