Title: Any way of installing Snow Leopard on PowerPC G4 1.5Ghz?
Post by: judgedredd on August 08, 2010, 12:11:27 pm
Hi,

This is my first post on this forum as I am interested in running OS X software on PCs.

That being so, I just helped my mother buy a nice used PowerPC G4 Powerbook and am wondering if it is at all possible to get around the restriction of not being able to install Snow Leopard on it.

And a secondary question that I have is why is Leopard SOOOOOO expensive as compared to Snow Leopard? It is kinda headscratching to puzzle that one out. Being a newbie to OS X (and really enjoying the look of the software) am not too clued into the pricing structure of Apple software.

Snow Leopard not run on any PowerPC system, even PowerPC G5 systems that are 64-bit capable.
Intel only.
