Tim Cook to deliver commencement address at George Washington University

<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p>George Washington University has announced today that Apple (http://www.imore.com/apple) CEO Tim Cook will deliver the commencement address at its 2015 commencement ceremony on May 17.</p> <!--break--> <p>The announcement was made earlier tonight on George Washington University's online news outlet. The university's President, Steven Knapp, expressed his excitement on the matter:</p>

<p>I am delighted that Tim Cook has accepted our invitation to give this year's commencement address on the National Mall. I know our graduating students will be inspired and enlightened by his reflections on the lessons he has garnered from his distinguished career as a highly effective leader at the forefront of technological innovation.</p>

<p>Cook was selected to deliver the address at the request of students, and will receive an honorary degree from the university.</p> <p>This isn't Cook's first time giving a commencement speech, as he did so for his alma mater, Auburn University, back in 2010 (http://www.imore.com/commencements).
