<div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p class="intro">According to a court filing today, Apple (http://www.imore.com/apple) has moved to have an employee poaching lawsuit with battery manufacturer A123 Systems dismissed.</p> <p>This comes just a week after it was reported (http://www.imore.com/apple-exploring-potential-settlement-battery-manufacturer-employee-poaching-suit) that Apple was exploring a settlement with A123 after the battery manufacturer accused the tech giant of poaching several of its key engineers.</p> <!--break--> <p>Reuters (http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/03/10/us-apple-autos-lawsuit-idUSKBN0M62GX20150310?feedType=RSS&feedName=technologyNews) reports:</p> <p>Apple Inc asked a U.S. court on Tuesday to dismiss a civil lawsuit filed by battery maker A123 systems over engineers hired by Apple, saying A123's legal claims were too speculative to proceed, according to a court filing.</p><p>A123 Systems originally filed suit (http://www.imore.com/lawsuit-claims-apple-poached-engineers-battery-manufacturer-a123-systems) against Apple in February over allegations that the latter hired away five key engineers from the company despite noncompete clauses in their contracts.
