Iovine has reportedly been attempting to lure some of those artists to Apple's music service.<!--break--> Speaking to Billboard (http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6516928/jay-z-tidal-jimmy-iovine-interview), Jay Z says that he isn't mad about this, but he thinks Iovine needs to take a larger view of the situation:</p> <p>I think that's just his competitive nature, and I don't know if he's looking at the bigger picture: That it's not about me and it's not about him; it's about the future of the music business.</p><p>Iovine has previously been reported to be in talks with artists (http://www.imore.com/jimmy-iovine-reportedly-talks-artists-exclusive-itunes-albums) regarding exclusive albums for iTunes, though it's likely that those exclusives would also come to Beats Music. Apple is currently said to be planning a relaunch of Beats Music (http://www.imore.com/apples-subscription-music-service-will-reportedly-debut-wwdc-new-apple-tv-rumored-fall-launch) as a service inside the iOS Music app, with a relaunch reportedly planned for around WWDC 2015 (http://www.imore.com/wwdc-2015).</p> <p>Source: Billboard (http://www.billboard.com/articles/news/6516928/jay-z-tidal-jimmy-iovine-interview)</p> </div></div></div><img width='1' height='1' src='(http://tipb.com.feedsportal.com/c/33998/f/616881/s/44fb23ef/sc/28/mf.gif)' border='0'/><br clear='all'/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851080418/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/44fb23ef/sc/28/rc/1/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851080418/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/44fb23ef/sc/28/rc/1/rc.img" border="0"/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851080418/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/44fb23ef/sc/28/rc/2/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851080418/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/44fb23ef/sc/28/rc/2/rc.img" border="0"/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851080418/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/44fb23ef/sc/28/rc/3/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851080418/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/44fb23ef/sc/28/rc/3/rc.img" border="0"/> <img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851080418/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/44fb23ef/sc/28/a2.img" border="0"/> (http://da.feedsportal.com/r/224851080418/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/44fb23ef/sc/28/a2.htm)<img width="1" height="1" src="http://pi.feedsportal.com/r/224851080418/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/44fb23ef/sc/28/a2t.img" border="0"/><img src="//feeds.feedburner.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~4/eVFdB-RHD1E" height="1" width="1" alt=""/> Source: Apple's Jimmy Iovine reportedly attempting to poach artists from Jay Z's Tidal music service (http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~3/eVFdB-RHD1E/story01.htm) |
