"We recognize that this may have excluded some people who deserve a second chance. We have now removed that restriction and instructed our contractors on the project to evaluate all applicants equally, on a case by case basis, as we would for any role at Apple."</p><p>An earlier report (http://www.mercurynews.com/business/ci_27860488/apples-ban-felons-construction-project-draws-criticism) out of the San Jose Mercury News claimed that fewer than five people had been fired because of their criminal history, but the policy still drew fire from unions.</p> <p>Source: San Jose Mercury News (http://www.mercurynews.com/business/ci_27860488/apples-ban-felons-construction-project-draws-criticism); Via: 9to5Mac (http://9to5mac.com/2015/04/09/apple-reverses-felon-policy/)</p> </div></div></div><img width='1' height='1' src='(http://tipb.com.feedsportal.com/c/33998/f/616881/s/4542922f/sc/15/mf.gif)' border='0'/><br clear='all'/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/225506670867/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/4542922f/sc/15/rc/1/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/225506670867/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/4542922f/sc/15/rc/1/rc.img" border="0"/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/225506670867/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/4542922f/sc/15/rc/2/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/225506670867/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/4542922f/sc/15/rc/2/rc.img" border="0"/> <a href="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/225506670867/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/4542922f/sc/15/rc/3/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/225506670867/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/4542922f/sc/15/rc/3/rc.img" border="0"/> <img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/225506670867/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/4542922f/sc/15/a2.img" border="0"/> (http://da.feedsportal.com/r/225506670867/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/4542922f/sc/15/a2.htm)<img width="1" height="1" src="http://pi.feedsportal.com/r/225506670867/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/4542922f/sc/15/a2t.img" border="0"/><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~4/BGNF5wGPusM" height="1" width="1" alt=""/> Source: Apple reverses policy banning recent felons from working on Campus 2 construction (http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~3/BGNF5wGPusM/story01.htm) |
