While Apple notably takes 30 percent of any service’s subscription fees taken from within an iOS app, the company only takes a 15 percent cut for subscription signups on Apple TV, according to Re/code. Though most Apple TV channels are either free or require cable authentication, there are still a number of channels which allow for subscription signups on Apple TV.
