Apple patent hints at new home button that can act as a tiny touchpad

Apart from the introduction of Touch ID with the iPhone 5s in 2013, Apple’s home button on iOS devices has hardly changed over the years. But a new patent suggests the Cupertino company is working on a big upgrade that could turn it into a tiny touchpad and more.
