The first batch of Apple Watch apps were pretty underwhelming (http://www.macworld.com/article/2920690/the-best-is-yet-to-come-for-apple-watch-apps.html), but some diamonds are starting to emerge from the rough. Fantastical 2 for iPhone (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/fantastical-2-for-iphone-calendar/id718043190?mt=8) got an update Wednesday to version 2.3, including the natural language calendar’s companion app for Apple Watch.

The $5 iPhone app, which syncs to Fantastical 2 for the Mac (http://www.macworld.com/article/2900834/review-fantastical-2-ups-the-ante-for-events-in-os-x.html) (or the original Fantastical, which is no longer for sale but still works fine), lets you enter events and appointments into your calendar by just typing a sentence, “Lunch with Leah at Super Duper on Friday,” and tasks by entering sentences like, “Todo pick up ice for the party.”

To read this article in full or to leave a comment, please click here[/url]
