As part of a push for local programming (http://www.imore.com/apple-said-want-local-programming-rumored-tv-service) on the service, Apple is said to be talking to ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC about gaining rights to local affiliate feeds, which would allow Apple to negotiation only with the networks, rather than having to do so with each individual affiliate.</p> <!--break--> <p>From The New York Post (http://nypost.com/2015/07/13/apple-networks-progressing-in-talks-over-cable-killer-tv-app/):</p> <p>Those affiliate groups, which include Tribune and Sinclair, are being told by the networks that if they opt in and offer their feeds, they will be able to share in the added revenue the Apple streaming product will produce, sources tell The Post.</p><p>CBS and Fox are both said to have nearly completed deals with their affiliates. Disney and CBS will reportedly be the first companies to sign-on to Apple's service in order to get it off the ground, with Apple supposedly aiming for a late fall launch.</p> <p>Apple is reportedly still trying to nail down the price of the service, though previous reports have indicated that it could be between $20 and $40 per month.</p> <p>Source: The New York Post (http://nypost.com/2015/07/13/apple-networks-progressing-in-talks-over-cable-killer-tv-app/)</p> </div></div></div><br clear='all'/> <a href="http://rc.feedsportal.com/r/233194750302/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/481c4d9c/sc/28/rc/1/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://rc.feedsportal.com/r/233194750302/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/481c4d9c/sc/28/rc/1/rc.img" border="0"/> <a href="http://rc.feedsportal.com/r/233194750302/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/481c4d9c/sc/28/rc/2/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://rc.feedsportal.com/r/233194750302/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/481c4d9c/sc/28/rc/2/rc.img" border="0"/> <a href="http://rc.feedsportal.com/r/233194750302/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/481c4d9c/sc/28/rc/3/rc.htm" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://rc.feedsportal.com/r/233194750302/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/481c4d9c/sc/28/rc/3/rc.img" border="0"/> <img src="http://da.feedsportal.com/r/233194750302/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/481c4d9c/sc/28/a2.img" border="0"/> (http://da.feedsportal.com/r/233194750302/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/481c4d9c/sc/28/a2.htm)<img width="1" height="1" src="http://pi.feedsportal.com/r/233194750302/u/49/f/616881/c/33998/s/481c4d9c/sc/28/a2t.img" border="0"/><img width='1' height='1' src='(http://tipb.com.feedsportal.com/c/33998/f/616881/s/481c4d9c/sc/28/mf.gif)' border='0'/><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~4/Fbh2XfJk9jY" height="1" width="1" alt=""/> Source: Apple said to be close to TV streaming deals with broadcast networks (http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/TheIphoneBlog/~3/Fbh2XfJk9jY/story01.htm) |
