Comcast and EA team up to launch Xfinity Games streaming service beta

It is teaming up with game publisher Electronic Arts on this new venture, which is currently taking sign-ups for its beta test. Xfinity Games will give customers a way to play games on their big screen TV that are streamed via their Comcast-provided set-top box.</p> <!--break--> <p>Comcast says:</p>

<p>No downloads or extra equipment required. Instead, players use their smartphones or tablets as controllers. It's perfect for families with kids and even those of us who haven't picked up a game in years.</p>

<p>Comcast customers can go ahead and sign up for the beta test at the official Xfinity Games website (http://www.xfinity.com/xfinitygames). The beta will offer access to many of EA's games, including Plants Vs Zombies, Real Racing and more. The beta version supports a number of iPhones (http://www.imore.com/iphone-6) and iPads (http://www.imore.com/ipad) at the moment.
