Developers can start submitting iOS 9, watchOS 2, and OS X El Capitan apps for review

[/url]

Following up on the launch of the new iPhone 6s (http://www.imore.com/iphone-6s) and iPhone 6s Plus (http://www.imore.com/iphone-6s-plus) earlier this week, Apple is now asking developers to submit and update their apps for iOS 9 (http://www.imore.com/ios-9), watchOS 2 (http://www.imore.com/watchos) and OS X 10.11 El Capitan. Since the iOS 9 and watchOS 2 updates are set to officially launch to the public on September 16, Apple is setting the stage for apps to be ready to take advantage of the latest features each is packing right away.

You can now submit your apps that take advantage of the latest features in iOS, OS X, and watchOS. Build your apps using Xcode 7 GM seed, test with the GM seeds of iOS 9, OS X El Capitan, and watchOS 2, and submit them for review.

When iOS 9 and watchOS 2 officially release to the public, users will be able to take advantage of a whole slew of new features. On the iOS 9 front, Spotlight search has gotten a lot smarter with indexed data from third-party apps. There's also a new system font on board, low power mode, the new News app, and much more. WatchOS 2, on the other hand, brings support for native apps, new watch faces, nightstand mode, and more. Finally, OS X El Capitan, which is set for a September 30 release, features a new system font, smarter Spotlight search, and better split-screen support, among other things.

Source: Apple (https://developer.apple.com/news/?id=09112015a&1442012023)
