News: Apple can’t access encrypted data on newer seized iPhones

Apple has stated that it is “impossible” to access encrypted data on devices using the latest version of iOS, Reuters reports. Although the company conceded that it has the “technical ability” to help law enforcement access older iPhones, in a brief filed in a U.S. court it said that for devices running iOS 8 or higher it “would be impossible” to grant a request by the Justice Department to help authorities access…
