In particular, Cue showed off the new, touch-enabled remote and Siri (http://www.imore.com/./siri) integration. There was also a look at the universal search function, which lets the Apple TV search across services for a particular TV show or movie.

Cue also talked in depth about Apple's new app-centric focus for the set-top box. He placed an emphasis on people being able to do more than just watch TV, but also interact with what they see. When talking about what the Apple TV could do better, Cue touched responded to the frustration of having to continually authenticate a number of TV related services across devices, particularly cable provider accounts. He said that Apple would continue to innovate on the TV to improve the user experience.

The fourth-generation Apple TV went up for pre-order earlier this week, with the first shipments arriving on customers' doorsteps beginning Friday, October 30.
