Google Maps finally picks up spoken traffic alerts in latest update

Google Maps (http://www.imore.com/ios/google-maps) has finally picked up spoken traffic alerts, bringing it further up to par with its Android cousin. With the new feature, Google Maps will now give you a verbal summary of traffic conditions before you head out the door, along with alerts meant to steer you clear from pesky congestion and holdups. Of course, there's a little more to this update as well, so here's the breakdown:

Easily add new and missing businesses from the sidebar

Spoken traffic alerts in Navigation tell you about congestion and incidents on your route and traffic descriptions give you a summary of traffic before you drive

Bug fixes

So, if you've opted to use Google Maps over the native Apple Maps, you'll now be able to be a little more prepared for your trip while keeping your eyes on the road. To check out the latest update, be sure to hit up the App Store link below.

Free - Download Now[/url]
