Songza is shutting down, users will be moved over to Google Play Music

Songza has informed its customers that the streaming-music service will close up shop on January 31, 2016 and be folded into Google Play Music. Google purchased Songza last July (http://www.techhive.com/article/2449809/google-buys-songza-to-beef-up-its-music-service.html), and has slowly integrated elements of the service into its own offering.</p><p>
Why the sudden move to shutter Songza completely? The music wars are heating up, and Appleā€™s acquisition of Beats (http://www.techhive.com/article/2190342/apple-officially-acquires-beats-for-3-billion.html) has made Apple Music a worthy contender in the music space.
