<p>Android Pay may be the new darling of Google’s commerce efforts, but Wallet isn’t going away just yet.</p><p>Google announced (http://googlecommerce.blogspot.com/2015/12/send-money-to-anyone-in-your-contact-list.html) you’ll be able to use the newest update for the Wallet app on Android and iOS to send money to anyone with a valid U.S. phone number. The recipient will get a text message with a secure link, where they can then enter their debit card to claim the funds.</p><p>You could already send money to someone else via email, so this makes the process to settle up the bar tab that much easier.
