Title: Apple uses homepage to pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Post by: HCK on January 18, 2016, 03:00:29 pm Apple uses homepage to pay tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
As they did last year, Apple is marking Martin Luther King, Jr. Day by paying tribute to the civil rights leader on the front page of Apple.com. The tribute features an image of King, along with a famous quote. "Life's most persistent and urgent question is 'What are you doing for others?'" Dr. King is often said to be one of Apple CEO Tim Cook's personal heroes. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day marks the civil rights leader's birth. Last year, Apple encouraged its employees to take time to volunteer, offering increased charitable donations through the company's Matching Gift's Program. No word yet on whether Apple plans to follow suit this year.
