Japan Display to start mass production of OLED displays by 2018, just in time for the iPhone 8

Japan Display today announced that it will start the mass production of OLED displays within the next two years. Japan Display, also popularly known as JDI, is a joint venture between Sony, Toshiba and Hitachi that currently supplies LCD display panels to a wide range of smartphone makers currently.
