When it launched last year for the Mac (http://www.macworld.com/article/2943513/forecast-bar-review-put-an-iphone-weather-app-in-your-macs-menu-bar.html), it brought the flavor of iOS to OS X, putting a sleek weather forecast in your menu bar (hence the name).
