Russia’s Internet Czar wants to raise taxes on digital purchases from App Store, iTunes Store

For digital goods created in Russia, a value-added tax (VAT) is applied right out of the gate, something that Apple has avoided being a company based in the United States, despite selling digital goods internationally.
