HomeKit helps bridge functionality between various smart home accessories which tend to each have their own connected apps using Siri, but Apple hasn’t released a Home app in the same way it made <a href="http://www.apple.com/ios/health/" target="_blank">Health for HealthKit.</p> <p>Instead, users rely on a folder full of third-party apps from accessory makers, some of which are better than others, or a highly functional but somewhat pricey third-party app called Home (https://geo.itunes.apple.com/us/app/home-smart-home-automation/id995994352?mt=8&at=10laZc&ct=925) to give HomeKit the UI it needs. Today there’s a new app on the market called <strong>Hesperus (https://geo.itunes.apple.com/us/app/hesperus/id969348892?ign-mpt=uo%253D4&at=10laZc&ct=925&mt=8)</strong>, which is free to use and has a friendly, customizable interface.</p> <p> <a href="http://9to5mac.com/2016/04/22/hesperus-homekit-iphone-app/#more-428423" class="more-link">more…</p> Filed under: <a href='http://9to5mac.com/category/apps/'>Apps Tagged: <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/hesperus/'>Hesperus, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/homekit/'>homekit <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gocomments/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/comments/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/godelicious/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/delicious/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gofacebook/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/facebook/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gotwitter/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/twitter/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gostumble/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/stumble/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/godigg/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/digg/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/goreddit/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/reddit/9to5mac.wordpress.com/428423/" /> <img alt="" border="0" src="(http://?host=9to5mac.com&blog=22754319&post=428423&subd=9to5mac&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" /><img alt="" border="0" src="(http://?host=9to5mac.com&blog=22754319&post=428423&subd=9to5mac&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" /><div class="feedflare"> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/9To5Mac-MacAllDay?i=0VSxC_R6mmM:GeDdnBCxjDc:D7DqB2pKExk" border="0"></img> (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/9To5Mac-MacAllDay?a=0VSxC_R6mmM:GeDdnBCxjDc:D7DqB2pKExk) </div><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/9To5Mac-MacAllDay/~4/0VSxC_R6mmM" height="1" width="1" alt=""/> Source: Hesperus is a free, easy-to-use and customizable HomeKit app for iPhone (http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/9To5Mac-MacAllDay/~3/0VSxC_R6mmM/) |
