Yet, there are times when you need the flexibility and power provided by a standalone camera.</p> <p>Standalone cameras have inherent advantages over smartphone cameras, despite the major strides made by iPhone photography over the last few years. Even with amazing third-party apps like FiLMiC Pro (http://9to5mac.com/2016/02/18/how-to-take-better-videos-iphone-filmic-pro/), which lets you adjust things like ISO and shutter speed, you’re still stuck with a constant aperture and fixed lens.</p> <p>While smartphones have replaced point and shoot cameras for a vast amount of people, standalone cameras, especially ones with interchangeable lenses like the recently-released 24MP Sony a6300 (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1222744-REG/sony_ilce6300_b_alpha_a63000_mirrorless_digital.html/BI/20286/KBID/14870/kw/SOA6300B/DFF/d10-v2-t1-xSOA6300B), still have their place. <a href="http://9to5mac.com/2016/05/14/hands-on-sony-a6300-mirrorless-camera-4k-shooting-iphone-photography-supplement/#more-430635" class="more-link">more…</p> Filed under: <a href='http://9to5mac.com/category/reviews/'>Reviews Tagged: <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/camera/'>Camera, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/opinion/'>Opinion, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/photography/'>photography, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/review/'>review, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/sony/'>Sony, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/sony-a6300/'>Sony a6300, <a href='http://9to5mac.com/tag/videography/'>videography <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gocomments/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/comments/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/godelicious/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/delicious/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gofacebook/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/facebook/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gotwitter/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/twitter/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/gostumble/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/stumble/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/godigg/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/digg/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/" /> <a rel="nofollow" href="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/goreddit/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/"><img alt="" border="0" src="http://feeds.wordpress.com/1.0/reddit/9to5mac.wordpress.com/430635/" /> <img alt="" border="0" src="(http://?host=9to5mac.com&blog=22754319&post=430635&subd=9to5mac&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" /><img alt="" border="0" src="(http://?host=9to5mac.com&blog=22754319&post=430635&subd=9to5mac&ref=&feed=1" width="1" height="1" /><div class="feedflare"> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/9To5Mac-MacAllDay?i=uOeNoLmn5nk:o1YfS8SWAx0:D7DqB2pKExk" border="0"></img> (http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/9To5Mac-MacAllDay?a=uOeNoLmn5nk:o1YfS8SWAx0:D7DqB2pKExk) </div><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/9To5Mac-MacAllDay/~4/uOeNoLmn5nk" height="1" width="1" alt=""/> Source: Hands-on: Sony’s a6300 mirrorless camera makes a great 4K shooting companion (http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/9To5Mac-MacAllDay/~3/uOeNoLmn5nk/) |
