Report: Twitter to make acquisition decision this month, Disney, Salesforce & Alphabet in the running

<p><strong>Update</strong>: Recode reports (http://www.recode.net/2016/10/5/13179604/sources-google-will-not-make-a-twitter-bid-and-apple-also-an-unlikely-suitor?utm_campaign=www.recode.net&amp;utm_content=entry&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter) that Google and Apple are now out of the running to acquire Twitter.</p>
<p>Twitter has been rumored to be searching for potential buyers since last month, but a new report out of Reuters (http://www.reuters.com/article/us-twitter-m-a-idUSKCN1252J0?f) today suggests that its negotiations could soon come to a close. According to the report, which cites “people familiar with the matter,” Twitter hopes to conclude negotiations with a buyer by the time it releases its Q3 earnings on Ocobter 27th.</p>
