Qualcomm CEO slams Apple for 'without merit' lawsuits

Senior executives at Qualcomm slammed Apple on Wednesday for lawsuits filed in the last week alleging the smartphone chip-maker significantly overcharged it for licensing fees.</p><p>
The spat saw cases filed last Friday in California (http://www.pcworld.com/article/3160087/legal/apple-sues-qualcomm-over-patent-licensing-and-1b-in-payments.html) and this week in Beijing (http://www.pcworld.com/article/3161712/techology-business/apple-takes-patent-battle-with-qualcomm-to-china.html) and were top of mind when Qualcomm conducted an earnings call with analysts on Wednesday.</p><p>
