New York City to start phasing out the MetroCard, add Apple Pay support to subway & buses

According to a report from The New York Times (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/23/nyregion/metrocard-subway-new-york.html?_r=0), the transit system will move towards replacing the MetroCard with contactless payments via platforms such as Apple Pay. The full rollout will take several years, but it’s a step in the right direction.</p>
