<img src="(http://cdn.macrumors.com/article-new/2018/03/ios-11-250x250.jpg)" alt="" width="250" height="250" class="alignright size-medium wp-image-628974" />French developer Pierre Blazquez today shared (https://twitter.com/pierre_blzqz/status/979273758363078657) what he claims are the final iOS 11.3 release notes, supposedly obtained from Apple's servers. His tweet contains images of the release notes in English for the United States. Apple blog Mac4Ever (https://www.mac4ever.com/actu/131285_voici-les-notes-de-versions-en-francais-d-ios-11-3) shared the release notes in French, which we've translated and embedded below in English. While there aren't too many surprises, it's worth noting that Messages on iCloud (https://www.macrumors.com/2018/01/24/everything-new-in-ios-11-3/) is not listed, despite being enabled in the latest iOS 11.3 and macOS 10.13.4 betas. Apple did say the feature is included in the betas "for testing and evaluation purposes," so it was never entirely clear if it would be ready for the final release. <center><blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Here are the final Release Notes for iOS 11.3 😊 (English version, French version is on @Mac4ever (https://twitter.com/Mac4ever?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)!) #Apple (https://twitter.com/hashtag/Apple?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) #iOS (https://twitter.com/hashtag/iOS?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) #iPhone (https://twitter.com/hashtag/iPhone?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) #iPad (https://twitter.com/hashtag/iPad?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) #Leak (https://twitter.com/hashtag/Leak?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw) pic.twitter.com/ftGY3iBG9E (https://t.co/ftGY3iBG9E)</p>— Pierre Blazquez (@pierre_blzqz) March 29, 2018 (https://twitter.com/pierre_blzqz/status/979273758363078657?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw)<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script></center> AirPlay 2 is also not listed, although the protocol was removed from the later beta versions of iOS 11.3 and tvOS 11.3 (https://www.macrumors.com/2018/02/20/airplay-2-removed-from-ios-tvos-11-3/). Messages on iCloud and AirPlay 2 were also not listed in macOS 10.13.4 release notes (https://www.macg.co/os-x/2018/03/macos-10134-le-point-sur-les-nouveautes-annoncees-par-apple-101746) leaked last week. Beyond that, the release notes seemingly confirm Apple's new Battery Health feature on iPhones will still be considered a beta feature in the iOS 11.3 public release, Advanced Mobile Location support where available (https://www.macrumors.com/2018/01/24/ios-11-3-will-support-advanced-mobile-location/), App Store review sorting (https://www.macrumors.com/2018/01/25/ios-11-3-app-store-review-sorting/), and improved charging management for always-plugged-in iPads. (https://www.macrumors.com/2018/03/28/ios-11-3-released-for-new-ipad/) yesterday. Apple recently confirmed that there will be an iOS 11.4 software update (https://www.macrumors.com/2018/03/27/quick-takes-ios-11-4-and-more/), perhaps including Messages on iCloud and AirPlay 2. <div class="linkback">Related Roundup: iOS 11 (https://www.macrumors.com/roundup/ios-11/)</div><div class="linkback">Tags: AirPlay (https://www.macrumors.com/roundup/airplay/), iMessage (https://www.macrumors.com/roundup/imessage/), iOS 11.3 (https://www.macrumors.com/roundup/ios-11-3/)</div> Discuss this article (https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/ios-11-3-release-notes.2112410/) in our forums <div class="feedflare"> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/MacRumors-Front?d=yIl2AUoC8zA" border="0"></img> (http://feeds.macrumors.com/~ff/MacRumors-Front?a=v48M7zIZga4:7kIdME7nHYg:yIl2AUoC8zA) <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/MacRumors-Front?d=6W8y8wAjSf4" border="0"></img> (http://feeds.macrumors.com/~ff/MacRumors-Front?a=v48M7zIZga4:7kIdME7nHYg:6W8y8wAjSf4) <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/MacRumors-Front?d=qj6IDK7rITs" border="0"></img> (http://feeds.macrumors.com/~ff/MacRumors-Front?a=v48M7zIZga4:7kIdME7nHYg:qj6IDK7rITs) </div><img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/MacRumors-Front/~4/v48M7zIZga4" height="1" width="1" alt=""/> Source: iOS 11.3 Release Notes Appear to Have Leaked With No Mention of Messages on iCloud or AirPlay 2 (https://www.macrumors.com/2018/03/29/ios-11-3-release-notes/) |
