According to data from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), Apple's HomePod has just 5% of the smart speaker market, trailing far behind rivals Amazon and Google. In fact, Amazon, which sells a variety of smart speaker options, has a commanding 70% of the smart speaker market. According to Josh Lowitz, Partner and Co-Founder of CIRP, entry-level smart speakers are what's driving sales—devices such as the Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Plus, which are $150 and under.
