Report: Instagram developing standalone ‘Threads’ app with location sharing, messaging, more

<p>Instagram is reportedly planning to launch an app called “Threads” that would serve as a companion to the main Instagram application. The Verge (https://www.theverge.com/2019/8/26/20833903/facebook-instagram-threads-messaging-app-close-friends-snapchat) reports today that Threads would “promote constant, intimate sharing between users and their closest friends.”</p>
