<p>Apple has been playing the slow game (https://9to5mac.com/2019/01/06/apple-home-strategy/) with HomeKit (https://www.9to5mac.com/guides/homekit) compared to Amazon’s Alexa ecosystem (https://amzn.to/37mZ9S3). Where Apple is working on detailed projects like HomeKit Secure Video (https://9to5mac.com/2019/11/19/homekit-secure-video-missing-features/), Amazon and Google are being bundled into nearly every device that has Wi-Fi in it. I love HomeKit, and I prefer it over Alexa or Google Assistant, but as we come to the end of 2019, I have four Amazon Echo Dots in my home and no HomePods (https://bit.ly/2r6O2Mo). One of the key reasons I finally succumbed and bought a few Echo Dots (https://amzn.to/35dFthi) was when Apple Music (https://www.9to5mac.com/guides/apple-musuc) support launched and I found them on sale.
