Apple @ Work: Would an Enterprise Screen Time API force employees to disconnect from work?

Apple released Screen Time (https://9to5mac.com/guides/screen-time/) initially with iOS 12, and it has continued to refine it since. I’ve enjoyed using it as a parent (https://9to5mac.com/2018/06/21/ios-12-how-to-set-up-screen-time-as-a-parent-on-a-childs-iphone-or-ipad/) with my children’s iPad as a way to automatically disable their devices after a certain amount of time. Since then, we’ve had various articles looking at how Apple could improve Screen Time. Ben Lovejoy argued (https://9to5mac.com/2019/04/29/screen-time-apis/) that a Screen Time API would allow third-party developers (https://9to5mac.com/2019/05/31/screen-time-api/) to expand beyond what Apple has built. I mentioned last December (https://9to5mac.com/2018/12/23/screen-time-upgrades-in-ios-13/) that I would love to see some enhanced Safari filtering options, iMessage history, and more. After I attended JNUC 2019 (https://9to5mac.com/guides/jamf-nation-user-conference/), I started wondering what Screen Time for the enterprise might look like if Apple released it. more…[/url]
